Getting the Kids Involved: Spring Home Gift Ideas

***This post is sponsored by RewardStyle and Walmart. All opinions are our own.***

From weddings to Mother’s Day to baby showers, it feels like I’m purchasing a LOT of gifts every Spring. I love that there are so many reasons to celebrate, but sometimes coming up with THAT many different and unique gift ideas can be challenging! Thanks goodness I have Walmart to help in with Spring Home Gift Ideas!
This year, I wanted my kids to get more involved not only because it makes them feel more a part of the process, but also because allowing them to create keeps them BUSY! Walmart has so many gift ideas for your home! From decor to dishware to fun craft projects, there is truly something for everyone. Plus, many things ship free in only 2 days and that’s always a big bonus in my book.

Here are 4 gift ideas that will have you covered for Mother’s Day, wedding gifts, or whatever other Spring event is thrown at you! Your kids can get in on these too!

1. Wood Etched Crate
There’s nothing like a homemade gift that’s personalized AND useful! This wood etched crate is not only a piece of Spring home decor, it’s also made with a lot of love.

This wood burning tool is so easy to use, and the results are fantastic! You can grab it, and the blank wooden crate here.

First, sketch out the design you want burnt into the wood. You can keep it simple, or try for a little more detail.

My daughter went for a floral design, and personalized it just for her Grandma.

Then, gently move the wood burning tool over the stenciled area. Press firmly and be careful as it does burn!
(If younger kids are helping, this would be a good part for mom to step in and help!)

In just a few minutes, you have THE most gorgeous, personalized wooden crate ever created.

It also makes the most wonderful way to package other gifts!
We filled it with fun things like this floral wax warmer.
Be sure to pair it with that Iced Lemon Sugar Cookie scent. It is DIVINE!
Also, I HIGHLY recommend this knit blanket.
No one can EVER have too many blankets, and this one is THE SOFTEST.

2. Fill a picture frame

Everyone loves photos in their home! There is no better way to personalize the walls of your home than with photos!
I think these frames are so beautiful. The cream and the burlap-like textured contrast are on point!
Not to mention, you just can’t beat the price!

Take that camera and snap some candids of your kids for grandma. You could even schedule a special photo shoot with a local photographer and provide an even bigger surprise.
We included ours in the personalized wooden crate for the BEST gift package!

3. Kids Made Modern Craft Sets
Younger kids?
Maybe they want to create a gift TOTALLY on their own?
They can create so many DIY gifts with these Kids Made Modern craft sets!
From seasonal gifts, to dinos and unicorns to making your own jewelry, there really is something to capture the interest of any DIY gifting kiddo!

We made these eggs for Easter to use as decor and gift to some friends, but there are many other sets to choose from.

Super fun way to get the kids involved AND keep them busy!
Find them all HERE.

4. Flower bouquets that last

Flowers are the go-to for many gifts. Think how many hundreds of thousands of bouquets are gifted just for Mother’s Day! This Spring, gift someone you love FAUX flowers.
Long gone are the days of cheap fake flowers that your grandmother had at every nook and cranny of her house collecting dust.
Walmart has tons of wonderful types, and colors and options available!
Allow your kiddo to use their design eye and put together a combination of floral colors that catches their eye!
I just LOVE these and these in particular!

Not only will they never die, the recipient will also have some home decor to pull out every Spring and remember you!
I thought these vases in particular were so pretty!
The gold adds a splash of color and has a modern but classic vibe.
