2019’s Best Documentaries Come Together for a Week in NYC

DOC NYC is America’s last big documentary festival of the year, a showcase for some of the year’s best nonfiction filmmaking. Hyperallergic has written about many of these films over the course of 2019 as part of our expanded documentary coverage. If you missed any of them in theaters before, or have been hearing about them touring the festival circuit but haven’t had a chance to check them out, now is your prime opportunity.
