Hi friends, how are you all holding up? We’re bracing for at least another month of sheltering in place here in California. I take a jog or walk everyday, weather permitting, just to feel the sunshine on my face and wave to neighbors doing the same. I’m missing my friends and extended family but staying connected through phone calls, Zoom meetings, and Facebook.
I’m really missing hugs and face to face talks. I miss group workouts and meeting my besties for wine Wednesdays. I keep myself sane knowing this summer we will be able to be together once more. In the meantime, one thing I’m doing is spending a lot more time relaxing in my bed! It’s my sanctuary because every day feels like a Sunday to me. I wake up naturally instead of using an alarm. The sunlight peeks through the window each morning and bounces off the leaves of the plants sitting on the shelf underneath. I drink coffee in bed while I spend the morning reading books or catching up on news and social media.
I read one of the ways to balance your immune system was to make sure you get plenty of rest. Sign me up! I surrounded myself with extra pillows, soft blankets, clean sheets, and a stack of books. It’s so cozy I look forward to going to bed at night just so I can repeat my morning ritual each day. Is your bedroom your sanctuary too? Perhaps you’d like to treat yourself to some new spring bedding. I rounded up these botanical favorites to bring the outdoors in. No pollen, just prettiness. :)
kirby leaf (four colors) / dogwood blossom
sun valley floral / floral quilt
tranquility bedding / watercolor floral (2 hues)
briony duvet / georgina floral
watercolor floral / marimekko duvet
yellow floral / botanical blur
Stay healthy friends and get lots of rest. We can do this!
